Buffalo Barre…Before and After

011It’s been a little over a week since Buffalo Barre opened its doors and I wanted to share with all of you the transformation that took place in order for this to happen!

After many months of looking for the perfect space and location for Buffalo Barre, the search was over when the lease for the space in the Transit Valley Plaza, 5843 Transit Rd., East Amherst, NY was signed. The keys were handed over to me on November 1, 2013 and instantly my mind started racing with excitement! It took me a few days to even be able to think straight before a plan was set in motion. My goal would be to open by December 2, 2013. It was aggressive but not impossible. There were many days when I had my doubts that this could happen in such a short amount of time, but when I started doubting, I would remind myself of my mission for Buffalo Barre…which is basically to help people improve their lives and inspire others to do the same. When I reminded myself of this, I knew that it would be finished when it was supposed to be finished and I had to let go of things I couldn’t control and focus on what I could.

Prior to Buffalo Barre, the space was leased by an insurance company so it needed structural changes. Walls had to be torn down, carpets had to be ripped up, wallpaper had to come down, electrical and lighting had to be reconfigured..etc. and it needed some finishing touches to make it feel warm and welcoming.

After a month of pure craziness, Buffalo Barre opened its doors on Monday, December 2, 2013. I can’t say that the process was easy, but it was definitely worth it all in the end…like most things in life!

Below, I posted the before and after photos. Enjoy viewing the transformation! For those of you who helped out, you know that every little thing takes hours…it’s not like what you see on on all of the home makeover shows. If it’s done correctly, it takes a lot of time, patience, and faith. Special thanks to my husband and Dad for their handymanliness!

We hope to see you at Buffalo Barre soon so you can check out our brand new studio in person!
